That said, check it out!
I’ll be at the Leimert Park Village Book Fair this Saturday, June 25. Come out and meet me and my publisher, Lamar Powell, CEO of Carmel Coast Publishing Enterprises. We’ll be in the publisher’s/exhibitors section. Be there too!
From Big Dave: “Juliette Akinyi Ochieng’s “Tale of the Tigers” is about opening eyes and ears, melting ice, melting hearts.” Read more at Amazon.
Two more very favorable reviews of Tale of the Tigers:
For those of you who have bought Tale of the Tigers here (rather than at Amazon, etc.), I will get my next delivery of books next week, on Friday the 17th at the very latest. I have all the mailers addressed and ready to go, so when the books arrive, all I have to do is sign them, put them in the mailers, and send them.
My apologies for the delay, but being out of stock is a good sign, no? Thanks for buying and for your patience.
BTW, I’ve posted a new excerpt.

In our lives our paths cross with many people. Sometimes our paths join. “Tale of the Tigers” is a beautifully written love story with a very contemporary social message. Tigers tells the story of Felice LeCroix and Kevin Hart, two student[s] at New Mexico University whose such paths have crossed. Felice is a young black girl who comes from a good family but has a troubled past. Kevin, the son of a lawyer, is the starting quarterback for the NMU football team and white. Each comes from lives that are worlds apart, yet they are drawn together by those inexplicable forces which can only be the seeds of true love. This tale really spoke to my heart as one whose family is of very rich and diverse ethnic backgrounds. I see vignettes of my wife and me in Juliette’s book.
