In our lives our paths cross with many people. Sometimes our paths join. “Tale of the Tigers” is a beautifully written love story with a very contemporary social message. Tigers tells the story of Felice LeCroix and Kevin Hart, two student[s] at New Mexico University whose such paths have crossed. Felice is a young black girl who comes from a good family but has a troubled past. Kevin, the son of a lawyer, is the starting quarterback for the NMU football team and white. Each comes from lives that are worlds apart, yet they are drawn together by those inexplicable forces which can only be the seeds of true love. This tale really spoke to my heart as one whose family is of very rich and diverse ethnic backgrounds. I see vignettes of my wife and me in Juliette’s book.
